Based in the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland region, Restore Gaia is a community-driven environmental organization committed to restoring, cleaning, and rehabilitating our local parks, beaches, trails, and wildlife habitats. Nestled between the shoreline of Lake Michigan and some of the Midwest’s most diverse natural preserves, our organization works to protect the outdoor spaces that define our region.

We lead hands-on conservation initiatives such as shoreline cleanups, invasive plant removal, habitat restoration, and wildlife rehabilitation support. Our mission is to preserve the natural beauty and ecological health of our environment while fostering a stronger connection between people and the land around them.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We proudly partner with fellow nonprofits, local municipalities, county and state agencies, schools, and community groups to amplify our impact. Through shared resources, coordinated projects, and community education, we work together to build a cleaner and more resilient ecosystem for both people and wildlife.
